Kelly Peterson

Kelli L. Petersen, LTC, USA (retired).  Kelli is from a small mining town in Northern Nevada. She was commissioned from the University of Nevada’s ROTC program and went on to law school in Sacramento, California. After Airborne school, her first duty station was Fort Lee, Virginia as an Army Judge Advocate.  Throughout her 21-year career, Kelli was stationed in Charlottesville, Virginia, Schweinfurt, Germany, Grafenwoehr, Germany, Camp Zama Japan, Fort Meade, Maryland, Fort Lee, Virginia, and Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Kelli served one combat tour in Iraq as a military defense counsel. She currently lives in Richmond, Virginia with her daughter and works as a civilian attorney advisor to the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General. She volunteers with the Chesterfield Food Bank, serves as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate for foster children in Chesterfield County, and serves on the Board of Directors of Veterans and Athletes United.
